Richmond Youth Dance (RYD) is the youth dance company for young people aged between 14-22 years in Richmond-upon-Thames. Designed to offer young people opportunities to develop their skills and knowledge in technique, performance and choreography, along with providing support towards specific goals as young dancers.

Sessions are designed to develop skills in a range of dance styles, to help you make decisions on the dancing you decide to do in the future. The focus and main dance style will change each term, led by an industry specialist.

To be involved in performance opportunities, we ask you to commit to the term of classes after trying out for the first week. We make sure that you get to experience different kinds of teaching, creative skills and dance styles over the course of the year.

If you have specific goals to study or train in dance at school, college, vocational school or university, we’ll also support you on your journey.

Delivered in partnership with Richmond Council and Sport England. Sessions are led by Combination Dance’s professional dance artists and choreographers. Classes are designed to develop technique, creativity and performance skills.

The programme includes a performance tour and work shadowing opportunities with professional artists.
